Terms of service
The deal, in plain words. You run your restaurant on our software; we keep it working and keep your data yours. This page is the agreement between you and Yunus Sadique Shaikh, the sole proprietorship that operates EasyKOT.
The whole product, from the first day.
A subscription covers one restaurant: the desktop register, the captain app on as many staff phones as you like, the kitchen display, and the owner dashboard. There is no per-user, per-device or per-order charge, and no feature is held back for a higher tier.
Three months free, then ₹299 a month.
- The trial is three months and needs no card. Nothing is charged during it and nothing starts automatically at the end of it — if you do nothing, the account simply stops billing new work rather than quietly taking money.
- After that it is ₹299 per month, or ₹2,990 per year, plus GST. The yearly price is the monthly one with two months taken off.
- Payments are collected by Razorpay. A tax invoice is issued for every payment, in your registered name, so your accountant can claim the input credit.
- If we change the price, existing subscriptions are told first — by email, at least 30 days ahead, and never retrospectively for a period you have already paid for.
We hold it. We do not own it.
Your menu, orders, bills and books belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and we do not sell them. You can export your records while your account is open, and you can ask us to delete them — see the privacy policy for exactly what is held and for how long.
Four things, none of them surprising.
- Bill honestly. Use EasyKOT for lawful trade and issue the tax invoices your jurisdiction requires. What you enter is your declaration, not ours.
- Look after your PINs. Staff PINs and dashboard passwords identify who did what. Share them and the audit trail stops meaning anything.
- One subscription, one restaurant. A second outlet needs its own.
- Do not attack the service. No reselling it as your own, no probing other stores' data, no attempts to break the isolation between stores.
Billing survives our outage. Reporting may not.
EasyKOT is built offline-first precisely so that our problems are not your problems: if our servers are down, or your internet is, the register keeps ringing sales and printing bills on your own counter, and syncs when the connection returns. What an outage can delay is the dashboard, cross-device sync and emailed summaries.
We do not promise a specific uptime percentage, because a number we have not measured for a year is not a promise. We do promise to tell you when something is broken.
Either side, with notice.
You may cancel at any time; the subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops. Refunds are covered by the refund policy. We may suspend or end an account for non-payment, or for a serious breach of section 4, and except in cases of abuse we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix it. Whatever the reason, you get a reasonable window to export your data before it is deleted.
What we are, and are not, on the hook for.
We will do our part properly, but software is not an insurer. Except where Indian law does not allow it to be limited, our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profit or lost custom. EasyKOT is a record-keeping tool, not tax, legal or accounting advice: what you file is your responsibility and your accountant's.
