Captain app
The order-taking app on your waiters' own phones.
A captain opens the table on their phone, taps the dishes — portions, add-ons, a "less spicy" note — and fires. The KOT prints in the kitchen before they've left the table, and the bill is already building on the register. No paper pad, no re-keying, no per-waiter charge.

At the table
Right order, no mistakes.
- The full menu in their pocket — search, veg/non-veg marks, Half/Full portions, add-ons and notes, exactly as the register shows it. Change the menu once and every phone has it.

The same menu tiles a captain taps at the table.
- Out-of-stock is visible at the table. A dish marked out on the dashboard disappears from temptation before the guest orders it.
- Fire from the table. The round lands on the kitchen printer or the kitchen display instantly — and on the register's bill.
- Running tables, live. Every table with its timer and amount — who's waiting, who's about to ask for the bill.
- Managers keep control. Discounts ask for a manager PIN; the approval is written on the record.

Meanwhile, at the counter
The register sees every round the moment it fires.
- One bill, many hands. Rounds sent by captains and rounds punched at the counter land on the same table and settle as one GST bill.
- Works with the net down. On the store's own Wi-Fi the phones talk straight to the register — an internet cut changes nothing at the table.
- And beyond the Wi-Fi. The captain app also works over the internet, so orders reach the kitchen from the terrace, the parking lot, or the owner's desk.
- No laptop? No problem. On Android, the captain app can BE the register — phone + thermal printer runs the whole restaurant.

Captain questions
Straight answers.
Which phones does the captain app run on?
Your waiters' own Android phones and iPhones. There's no per-waiter or per-device charge — every phone on the same store is included in the one ₹299/month price.
How does an order reach the kitchen?
The captain fires the round and the KOT prints on the kitchen printer — or appears on the kitchen display — exactly like an order punched at the register. A later round carries only the new items.
Does it need the internet?
On your own Wi-Fi it talks to the register directly, internet or not. Away from the counter's network it can also work over the internet, so a captain standing in the parking lot can still send the order.
Can a waiter give discounts?
Only with a manager's approval — discounts ask for a manager PIN, and the approval is recorded. Waiters take orders; managers control money.
What if a dish runs out mid-service?
Mark it out of stock once and every captain phone and register sees it immediately — no more taking an order the kitchen can't cook.
How do I set it up?
Two quick codes: a setup code from the dashboard's Devices page signs the phone into your store, then a pairing code shown on the register links it to the till and kitchen. The getting-started guide walks through it.
Setup is two codes — see the step-by-step captain app setup, or the full getting-started walkthrough. Once a phone is live, here is how a waiter actually takes an order.
