Every bill, and what sold best, in one tap.

Step by step

From the bill list to your best sellers, in five steps.

1

Open Orders in the dashboard

Sign in at app.easykot.com and open Orders from the left menu. Tap the period button at the top (it shows the dates, for example This week · 12–18 Oct) and pick Today, Yesterday, This week, This month or another preset, or type your own From and To and press Done. Four tiles lead the page: how many bills settled, what they came to with GST, how many checks are running now, and how many were cancelled.

The Orders page on a laptop for this week: 4 settled bills worth ₹3,300, with no running or written-off bills. Below are Status, Type and Paid by filters, search for a bill, invoice, table or item, Download Excel and CSV. Four bills are grouped under 25–26 September: one refunded bill, one Card bill and two Paid · Auto closed bills, including a ₹1,000 bill with no payment recorded.

Steps 1-2: every bill grouped by day, with the same filters for the list, figures and download.

2

Find a bill: filter or search

Above the list are All, Settled, "Running" and "Cancelled". Use Type for Dine-in or Takeaway, and Paid by for Cash, UPI or Card. Search accepts a bill number, invoice number, table or item name. The same filters apply to the rows, the figures above them and the Excel or CSV download. Bills are grouped by day, and a bill closed at 1 AM sits under the night before, because a restaurant's day turns over at 4 AM. Fifty bills load at a time; "Show more" at the bottom brings the rest.

3

Tap a bill to see the whole bill

The bill shows every item and what it cost, then Subtotal, Discount, GST, Round off and the bill Total. Captured contains only real payments. If the cutoff marked it Paid · Auto closed, the automatic remainder is separate and says it is not a payment. Payments lists each payment or refund; History combines the order and day-close record. If a later sync differs from the issued bill, Needs review explains the difference without silently changing the printed total. On an eligible issued bill, the owner can enter only the money received now, review the remaining Sales loss, and settle.

Paid · Auto closed bill #2001: invoice T2/2627/00001, one Celebration Thali for ₹1,000, Total ₹1,000 and an auto-closed remainder of ₹1,000 explicitly marked 'not a payment'. Payments says 'No payment recorded'; below it the owner can enter an amount received now and choose Cash.

Step 3: auto close keeps the bill in sales without inventing a payment. Real money received is settled separately.

4

Open Menu performance

Open Reports → Menu performance. Choose Items, Categories or Variants, then search and sort the fixed table. Each row shows quantity and gross sold value before bill-level discount and GST. Open a row to see the exact matching bills with the same dates and group; its Excel or CSV download keeps that context.

The Items sold page on a laptop for this week: Items sold 714, Sales ₹1,66,440, Dishes sold 211, Didn't sell 11, Dishes and Most sold selected, the search box, Download Excel and CSV, and a table with #, Dish, Category, Sold, Sales, Avg price and % of sold columns, sorted by Sold: 1 Moong Dal Halwa, Desserts, 13 sold, ₹1,820, 2 Mutton Dum Biryani, Biryani & Rice, 12 sold, ₹3,480, 3 Mix Veg Kadai, Main Course Veg, 10 sold, ₹2,600

Step 4: the best seller on top. Click a column heading to sort by it.

Items sold with By category selected: the Main Course Non-Veg row reads 39 dishes, 137 sold, ₹46,220, avg ₹337.37 and 19.2% of sold, with its dishes underneath keeping their ranks: 5 Mutton Curry 9 sold ₹3,420, 6 Chicken Kadai 9 sold ₹2,880, 10 Mutton Kolhapuri 8 sold ₹2,800

By category: one row per category with its totals. Click it to fold.

5

Or just glance at the Dashboard

The Dashboard now carries a "Latest orders" card: today's five newest bills, newest first. Tap one and the bill opens right there. "All orders →" goes to the full list, and "All items sold →" under Top sellers opens every dish.

The Dashboard's Latest orders card for today: 12:40 pm #1012 Table T4 Running ₹346.50, 12:38 pm #1011 Takeaway ₹378, 12:34 pm #1010 Table T3 ₹735, 12:10 pm #1009 Table T2 ₹309.75, 11:26 am #1008 Takeaway ₹294, and All orders → underneath

Step 5: today's newest bills, the moment the dashboard opens.

It is the same dashboard on a phone: open app.easykot.com and sign in. Use Orders for one bill, or Reports → Menu performance for what sold. The selected dates and filters stay in the URL, so refresh and Back return to the same report.

Spice Route Kitchen's Orders page on a phone for 21–27 September: 1 settled bill worth ₹504. Settled is selected, Type is Takeaway, Paid by is Card and the search contains Paneer, with Download Excel and CSV below.

Status, Type, Paid by and Search work together on a phone too.

Orders and items questions

Straight answers.

A bill was made at the EasyKOT Desktop App. When does the dashboard show it?
As soon as the Desktop App syncs, usually within seconds. The Orders page reads straight from the server, so opening the page shows the new bill. If the internet is down, the Desktop App keeps billing and every bill reaches the dashboard when the connection comes back. No bill is lost.
Why is Menu performance different from the Orders total?
They count different things. "Billed, GST incl." on Orders is what the bills say, GST included. Gross sold value in Menu performance is before the bill-level discount and GST. The two can therefore differ.
Does Paid · Auto closed mean money was received?
No. At the configured cutoff, an eligible synced bill contributes to sales, but EasyKOT creates no payment, cash or loss. Open the bill to see only real money under Captured, the automatic remainder separately, and the close in History. If money arrived later, enter only that new amount on an eligible issued bill; the remaining Sales loss is shown before confirmation.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Open app.easykot.com in the phone's browser and sign in as usual. Orders, Reports and the Dashboard fit a phone screen. A bill opens full screen, and the report dates and filters stay in its URL. There is no separate app to install.
Can I download the list or export it to Excel?
Yes. Orders and fixed tables in Reports offer Download Excel and CSV. The file follows the dates, view, grouping and active filters on screen. Orders keeps Bill value, Captured, Refunded and Loss separate. Do not add Bill value and call it takings; use Reports → Sales & collections for payment-date money. Up to a year per file.
Where do I see the profit on each dish?
Under Accounts, the Menu tab has "Menu performance", which sorts every dish into four groups by sales and profit. It needs each dish's "Cost to make" filled in under Menu & stock. Items sold needs no costs: it shows what sold.
